Interior Inspiration: Not Inspired

I’m sure I’m not the only one who when flipping through the latest Pottery Barn had to recheck the cover to make sure they were actually looking at Pottery Barn. Check out these freakishly {no pun intended} weird PB fall accessories.

Corn husk rodents? No thank you. Don’t think I’ve found any inspiration or DIY ideas from this Pottery Barn fail. Maybe next year…

Dreams of Fall

I think Fall is delicious.  If it was a food, it would totally be my favorite. The temps have dropped {okay, yeah it’s still in the 80′s} but it just reminds me of what’s to come.  Things like:

Changing leaves and spending a few hours in the Smoky Mountains.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte.

A trip to the pumpkin patch.

Moody nail colors.

Cardigans {even though I wear them all year, they’re actually most appropriate in Fall}.

Bringing out the boots. {Boots, oh I have missed your foot support, insulation and clankity noise when I walk. I will hopefully be seeing you soon.}

Fall decorating.

and Soup. I looove soup.

But for now, I’ll continue to wait in the heat, continue to sweat even in shorts and tank tops, and continue to hang onto my dreams of Fall and all it’s goodness.

Martha’s Strawberry Shortcake

Tomorrow I’m hosting all the women in my mom’s family over for lunch to celebrate several August birthdays and it’s gonna be craazy! Actually not at all.  Luckily I don’t have to make all the food, I just volunteered for dessert {go fig}.  And who else would I turn to other than Martha for something new? You may remember me sharing my love for her here.

Anyways, after drooling over  Trevor and Kristi’s Martha cookbook, I found a copy for myself at Home Goods. {If you’ve never been to Home Goods, oh man you should go. It gets my heart racing.} Anyways.. I couldn’t wait to try this recipe for Strawberry Shortcake!

And the best part about it? I already have all the ingredients! Score. No grocery store trip for me. Hope you have a great weekend and find the time to whip up something sweet! {Even if it is just scooping out some ice cream}  : )
